ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi - arrival (D)
Upon arrival at the airport, our driver will transfer you to your selected hotel for check-in. Trip to Vietnam and Laos starts. In the early evening, you have a chance to watch a water puppet performance, a distinct traditional art of Vietnam in which split-bamboo screen puppets controlled by the hidden people perform in the water. Then you enjoy your dinner at a local restaurant. Stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – City tour (B/L)
Wake up in the morning, enjoy your breakfast then we start the second day of trip to Vietnam and Laos in Hanoi with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside), a large memorial in Hanoi, which is the resting place of Viet Minh leader Ho Chi Minh, founder. The next destination of your visit today is the One Pillar Pagoda, the emperor Lý Thái Tông, first built in 1049 by erecting a pillar in the middle of a lotus pond after he had a dream vision of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. You keep exploring Ancient Hanoi with an exploration of the Temple of Literature, the first national university in Vietnam first founded by the time of King Lý Nhân Tông. Lunch is served in a local restaurant.
A short break at noon then you continue trip to Vietnam and Laos by visiting the Museum of Ethnology where you have a chance to witness the documents of 54 officially recognized ethnic groups. We continue the tour with The Old Quarter. You will take 1.5 hours to wander around the narrow corner of Ancient Hanoi. It includes 36 old streets, each of which represents the type of merchandise sold in.
After enjoying the ancient atmosphere of streets as Hang Buom, Ta Hien, Dinh Le, Hang Be (famed for its typical food named Mam Tep Chung Thit) and witnessing the daily life of local here, we go on visiting Hoan Kiem Lake, meaning Lake of the Returned Sword. From here you can enjoy a very nice walk along the lake or back to the hotel. You should your camera and take a beautiful picture on The Huc red bridge to Ngoc Son Temple. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D)   (160km – 3h30)
Breakfast and then heading to Halong Bay - the World Heritage Site listed by Unesco located in Quang Ninh Province. Once there at around 12h30, you will board on a traditional junk for a memorable cruise through the mystical Halong Bay. While peacefully sailing across the Bay, you might enjoy fresh seafood lunch.
The first stop of trip to Vietnam and Laos on the third day is the most magical and beautiful cave – Sung Sot Cave means Surprised Cave or Amazing Cave, which is one of the most spectacular grottoes of Ha Long Bay. We will then stop on Titop island, where you can go for a swim, do kayaking and climb to the top of the island to admire a stunning panoramic view of the bay.
After enjoying a fresh seafood dinner on the bay, you can relax and spend the evening watching films or go for squid fishing. Stay overnight on the boat.

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Da Nang by train (B/L)
Wake up in the next morning at sunrise, then we join a Tai Chi demonstration on the sundeck if booked in advance. Enjoying an energizing breakfast then we begin a busy and interesting day with a visit to Luon Cave by small boat. The boat later passes Man Head Island and Tortoise Island. While the boat heads back the pier, it is time for you to check out the cabin and pay all your bills before leaving for the next destination. On the way back, you have a chance to join a demonstration of cutting flowers from fruits and roots. On arriving at the pier, you will check out, leave the junk and transfer to Cua Vang for lunch or you can have the meal on the boat (optional).
Then our driver will transfer back to train station in Hanoi for the night train (4 berth sleeper cabin, basic standard) on the ‘Reunification Express’ railway line to Da Nang. Dinner is on your own and overnight in the train.

Day 5: Danang - Hoi An (no meals)
On arrival in the train station of Danang at 11:00 am, you will be welcomed and transferred to Hanoi, a formerly crucial trading port during the 17th and 18th centuries. On arrival in Hoi An, we head to your selected hotel for check-in and self-service lunch.
After a short break, we start exploring the ancient Hoi An with a stroll around the town where you can visit such typical structures as Quan Cong Temple, the brave and loyal Chinese General; Phuc Kien Pagoda, the most well-known assembly hall in the ancient town; the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An’s signature landmark used widely as an emblem of the town; Tan Ky ancient house, the most popular of Hoi An’s old houses and Hoi An port, the World Heritage listed by Unesco as well.
You then return to your hotel for the night. Dinner is on your own. Enjoy your wonderful time of trip to Vietnam and Laos in Hoi An. 

Day 6: Hoi An - free time (B)
Wake up early in the morning, enjoy the ancient atmosphere of Hoi An then you can spend the whole day relaxing in the wonderful beach of Hoi An with lots of water sports.
Meals are on your own. Enjoy your wonderful time of trip to Vietnam and Laos in Hoi An. 

Day 7: Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh city (B/L)   (1000 km – 1h15 by plane)
Breakfast then trip to Vietnam and Laos offer to Ho Chi Minh City  (known as Saigon) by plane from Hue airport. Saigon was once was the old capital of the French colony and later of the independent republic of South Vietnam from 1955–75. In 1976, Saigon was officially renamed Ho Chi Minh City, the name of Vietnamese communist revolutionary leader who spent his whole life dedicated to the independence of Vietnam.
On arrival, you will take a morning tour to discover a busy Saigon. The first destination is the Old Colonial Residential Quarter and the City’s old Hotel, a palace built by the French architect Paul Gardès of 1902-19081 in the center of Saigon in Indochina at the time. Our next destination is the Opera House, inspired by the architecture of the Opera Garnier in Paris, built in 1900 and Notre-Dame Cathedral, the famous central Saigon Cathedral. The last one is the Post Office, signed by Gustave Eiffel.
After having lunch in a restaurant and taking a rest, we spend the day discovering a lacquerware factory. Dinner is served on your own and overnight in Saigon.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh city - Ben Tre - Mekong Lodge (B/L/D)
At 8:30 am, our driver will come to pick you up at your hotel in Saigon City and transfer to Cai Be (110km- 2h30’ by car). Upon arrival, our guide will greet and lead you to Mekong lodge by junk as well as instruct you to check in your private bungalows for continuing the trip to Vietnam and Laos. After having delicious lunch in the restaurant and a short break, at 15:00, we begin to go for a walk or ride your bicycle around the Lodge to explore the daily life of the locals and enjoy the fresh air in the peaceful villages. Then we board a sampan boat to have a visit to local orchards and try some fresh and delicious fruits. At 18:00, you take a great chance to attend a Vietnamese cooking class to learn how to make some traditional food and enjoy your own dishes.
Please remember that the bar opens from 7:00 am to 12:00 am, which lies near the swimming pool. Stay overnight at the Mekong Lodge (authentic | swimming pool | nice garden).

Day 9: Mekong Lodge - Cai Be Floating Market - Ho Chi Minh city (B/L)
Breakfast in the restaurant then we start the nineth day of trip to Vietnam and Laos with a cruise on our rowing boats to explore Cai Be floating and ground market. You later visit local homes making rice cake, coconut candy, caramel souffle cake and other traditional specialties to witness the production of them. You can even try some local honey tea, which is a typical tea of the northern people. Come back to the Lodge.
After checking out at 11:30 am and enjoying your lunch, we return to your selected hotel in Saigon City. On arrival, you check in your hotel. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Saigon.

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City - Luang Prabang (B) / by plane
After breakfast, our driver will meet you at your hotel then transfer to the airport for a short flight to Luang Prabang. Known as the former heart of the ancient kingdom of Laos, Luang Prabang nowadays is listed as World Heritage site with lots of ornate temples, French colonial architecture. On arrival, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day of trip to Vietnam and Laos is at leisure to stroll around this tranquil city. Meals are on your own and overnight in Luangprabang.

Day 11: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave (B/L)
Wake up in your hotel, have the meal then we start a new day of trip to Vietnam and Laos with a tour to sightsee the oldest temple of impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai, Wat Sene and the Wat Xiengthong with its unique roofs, presenting the typical structure of Luang Prabang temple.
Then we continue to take a boat to view the peaceful rural surroundings of the MeKong River as well as make a stop to explore the mysterious beauty of Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues. At noon, we head to a local restaurant for lunch. After a short break, the first stop of the afternoon trip is Ban Xang Hai village, where you can try their traditional wine.
On the way back, we go across local villages at Ban Xieng Mene and Ban Chan before keep exploring the royal temple at Wat Long Khoun, which was used to the royal family patronage and near Sackarine Caves. The last place of your visit today is Ban Phanom, famed for its and weaving before returning to the city for the night. Dinner is on your own. Stay overnight in your hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 12: Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfall (B/L) - Luang Prabang (30 km - 40-minute drive)
Wake up early in the morning, then we start an early morning with a visit to the locals for Tak Bat almsgiving to local monks as part of the original old culture. After the meal, we head to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall (30 km) to admire the majestic beauty of this waterfall as well as join some interesting activities as swimming, relaxing, and trekking to the peak of the fall.
On the way back to the town, we make a stop for a while at a Black Hmong's village, where you observe their daily life as well as shop for some handicraft souvenirs for your family and friend.
Upon arrival back, the rest of the day is at your leisure to relax with a cup of tea or coffee or you can plan go shopping with your friends or family. Dinner is on your own. Enjoy your last night of trip to Vietnam and Laos in LUang Prabang. 

Day 13: Luang Prabang – Departure (B)
Breakfast then you have free time until our driver comes to pick you up and transfer to the airport for the international flight to your home. Meals are on your own.
End of the trip to Vietnam and Laos.
