ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi (D)
Upon arrival at the airport, our driver will transfer you to your selected hotel for check-in. Vietnam Thailand travel packages  start. In the early evening, you have a chance to watch a water puppet performance, a distinct traditional art of Vietnam in which split-bamboo screen puppets controlled by the hidden people perform in the water. Then you enjoy your dinner at a local restaurant. Stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – City tour (B, L)
Wake up in the morning, enjoy your breakfast then we start the second day of Vietnam Thailand travel packages in Hanoi with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside), a large memorial in Hanoi, which is the resting place of Viet Minh leader Ho Chi Minh, founder. The next destination of your visit today is the One Pillar Pagoda, the emperor Lý Thái Tông, first built in 1049 by erecting a pillar in the middle of a lotus pond after he had a dream vision of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. You keep exploring Ancient Hanoi with an exploration of the Temple of Literature, the first national university in Vietnam first founded by the time of King Lý Nhân Tông. Lunch is served in a local restaurant.
A short break at noon then you continue Vietnam Thailand travel packages  with a visit of the Museum of Ethnology where you have a chance to witness the documents of 54 officially recognized ethnic groups. We continue the tour with The Old Quarter. You will take 1.5 hours to wander around the narrow corner of Ancient Hanoi. It includes 36 old streets, each of which represents the type of merchandise sold in.
After enjoying the ancient atmosphere of streets as Hang Buom, Ta Hien, Dinh Le, Hang Be (famed for its typical food named Mam Tep Chung Thit) and witnessing the daily life of local here, we go on visiting Hoan Kiem Lake, meaning Lake of the Returned Sword. From here you can enjoy a very nice walk along the lake or back to the hotel. You should your camera and take a beautiful picture on The Huc red bridge to Ngoc Son Temple. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D) (160 km – 3h30)
Breakfast and then Vietnam Thailand travel packages  gives you the chance to go to Halong Bay - the World Heritage Site listed by Unesco located in Quang Ninh Province. Once there at around 12h30, you will board on a traditional junk for a memorable cruise through the mystical Halong Bay. While peacefully sailing across the Bay, you might enjoy fresh seafood lunch.
The first stop is the most magical and beautiful cave – Sung Sot Cave means Surprised Cave or Amazing Cave, which is one of the most spectacular grottoes of Ha Long Bay. We will then stop on Titop island, where you can go for a swim, do kayaking and climb to the top of the island to admire a stunning panoramic view of the bay.
After enjoying a fresh seafood dinner on the bay, you can relax and spend the evening watching films or go for squid fishing. Stay overnight on the boat.
Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hue (B, L) | by night train
Wake up in the next morning at sunrise, then we join a Tai Chi demonstration on the sundeck if booked in advance. Enjoying an energizing breakfast then we begin a busy and interesting day with a visit to Luon Cave by small boat. The boat later passes Man Head Island and Tortoise Island. While the boat heads back the pier, it is time for you to check out the cabin and pay all your bills before leaving for the next destination. On the way back, you have a chance to join a demonstration of cutting flowers from fruits and roots. On arriving at the pier, you will check out, leave the junk and transfer to Cua Vang for lunch or you can have the meal on the boat (optional).
Then our driver will transfer back to train station in Hanoi for the night train (4 berth sleeper cabin, basic standard) on the ‘Reunification Express’ railway line to Hue. Dinner is on your own and overnight in the train.

Day 5: Hue - Discovery (B, L)
A must-do thing any visitor coming to Hue cannot miss is a cruise on the gentle Huong River, also known as Perfume River. On arrival in Hue at 10:00 am, after breakfast, we get on a boat to visit several places along the river such as the Thien Mu pagoda, built in 1601 on the order of the first Nguyen lords. We continue Vietnam Thailand travel packages with a quiet Thuy Bieu village – 6.5 km from the city center – a laidback village famous for growing the Thanh Tra fruit (a kind of small pomelo). From here, you take a visit to many garden houses, a unique feature of Hue countryside, and enjoy a nice walking and biking around the peaceful village.
The next destination is an old communal house, the boat will pass through several ancient ancestral temples and communicate with local people. Then the guide will lead you to an incense making family and discover the daily life of local people while they are working strenuously with joy and enthusiasm. You may also join their activities such as gardening, talking and drinking tea with them.
Then we stop at Thuy Bieu restaurant. It is the time to relax by steeping your foot in medicinal herb water – a traditional therapeutic practice and enjoy an excellent massage by blind people here. After having lunch at Thuy Bieu restaurant, we start the trip in the afternoon with a discovery of Emperor Minh Mang’s tomb, ponds and gardens are known for its perfect harmony between architecture and its natural environment. Dinner on your own and overnight in Hue.

Day 6: Hue-Da Nang-Hoi An (B, L) | 100 km - 2h
Wake up early in the morning, enjoy your breakfast at the hotel then we start the sixth day of Vietnam Thailand travel packages in Hue with a visit to the Imperial Citadel, the capital of the Nguyen Dynasty (1804-1945). You later make a stop at such famous spots as The Flag Tower, South Door, Edict Pavilion, Supreme Harmony Palace, and the Forbidden Purple City.
Then we drive to Danang via Hai Van pass and the poetic fishing village of Lang Co. Our driver will transfer you to Hoi An, a crucial trading port during the 17th and 18th centuries. You come to a local restaurant for the lunch before starting your trip around the ancient Hoi An. Travelling to Hoi An, you have a chance to visit its treasures with such typical structures as Quan Cong Temple, the brave and loyal Chinese General; Phuc Kien Pagoda, the most well-known assembly hall in the ancient town; the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An’s signature landmark used widely as an emblem of the town; Tan Ky ancient house, the most popular of Hoi An’s old houses and Hoi An port, the World Heritage listed by Unesco as well.
We return to your hotel for the night. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Hoi An.

Day 7: Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh city (B, L) (1000 km – 1h15 by plane)
Leaving Hoi An after breakfast, we move to the airport of Danang for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City, known as Saigon City. Saigon was once was the old capital of the French colony and later of the independent republic of South Vietnam from 1955–75. In 1976, Saigon was officially renamed Ho Chi Minh City, the name of Vietnamese communist revolutionary leader who spent his whole life dedicated to the independence of Vietnam.
On arrival, you will take a morning tour to discover a busy Saigon. The first destination is the Old Colonial Residential Quarter and the City’s old Hotel, a palace built by the French architect Paul Gardès of 1902-19081 in the center of Saigon in Indochina at the time. Our next destination of Vietnam Thailand travel packages is the Opera House, inspired by the architecture of the Opera Garnier in Paris, built in 1900 and Notre-Dame Cathedral, the famous central Saigon Cathedral. The last one is the Post Office, signed by Gustave Eiffel.
After having lunch in a restaurant and taking a rest, we spend the day discovering a lacquerware factory. Dinner is served on your own and overnight in Saigon.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh city - Ben Tre - Mekong Lodge (B, L, D)
At 8:30 am, our driver will come to pick you up at your hotel in Saigon City and transfer to Cai Be (110km- 2h30’ by car). Upon arrival, our guide will greet and lead you to Mekong lodge by junk as well as instruct you to check in your private bungalows for continuing the trip. After having delicious lunch in the restaurant and a short break, at 15:00, we begin to go for a walk or ride your bicycle around the Lodge to explore the daily life of the locals and enjoy the fresh air in the peaceful villages. Then we board a sampan boat to have a visit to local orchards and try some fresh and delicious fruits. At 18:00, you take a great chance to attend a Vietnamese cooking class to learn how to make some traditional food and enjoy your own dishes.
Please remember that the bar opens from 7:00 am to 12:00 am, which lies near the swimming pool. Stay overnight at the Mekong Lodge (authentic | swimming pool | nice garden).

Day 9: Mekong Lodge - Cai Be Floating Market - Ho Chi Minh city (B, L)
Breakfast in the restaurant then we start a new day with a cruise on our rowing boats to explore Cai Be floating and ground market. You later visit local homes making rice cake, coconut candy, caramel souffle cake and other traditional specialties to witness the production of them. Especially, Vietnam Thailand travel packages offer you the opportunity to try some local honey tea, which is a typical tea of the northern people. Come back to the Lodge.
After checking out at 11:30 am and enjoying your lunch, we return to your selected hotel in Saigon City. On arrival, you check in your hotel. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Saigon.

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City - Bangkok (B) (2h00: by plane)
Wake up early in Saigon city, enjoy your breakfast then you can spend your free time strolling around the city or going shopping for some souvenirs. You are later transferred to Tan Son Nhat Airport for the international flight to Bangkok. On arrival in Bangkok, our guide will welcome you and transfer to your selected hotel for check-in. Meals are on your own. Stay overnight in Bangkok.

Day 11: City Temple Tour – Royal Grand Palace & Emerald Buddha. (B, L, D)
Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast then we kick off the eleventh day of Vietnam Thailand travel packages  with visits to two of the most unique Buddhist temples in Bangkok namely The Buddha in Wat Traimit and the famous Reclining Buddha at Wat Po. We later have a visit to The Royal Grand Palace. Known as the most beautiful examples of the ancient Thai court, The Royal Grand Palace is a must-see place while in Bangkok. The last destination of your morning tour is the Temple of the sacred Emerald Buddha.
After enjoying your meal in the restaurant, we keep exploring the city with a cruise trip to the Chao Phraya River’s edge by a traditional style Long Tail Boat where you have a chance to discover the old canals of the Thonburi side of Bangkok as well as observe the old lifestyle of the locals here. On the way, you can stop to buy the snack, purchase knick-knacks, or even use a toilet. The next destination of your visit today is the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun), famed for its silhouette. The local story goes that the shards of pottery decorating its 79 m tall spire came from a nearby shipwreck 100 years ago. We then come back to the hotel for the night. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Bangkok.

Day 12: Bangkok – Phuket City Tour – Phuket Fantasea Show. (B, D)
Breakfast in the hotel then we head the airport in Bangkok for a short flight to Phuket. On arrival in Phuket airport, our local guide will welcome you then transfer to your selected hotel in Phuket for check-in. We keep Vietnam Thailand travel packages  by “Phuket City Tour” with a sightseeing around this beautiful coastal city to admire the islands breathtaking beauty passing beach roads of Patong, Karon, Kata, and Rawai.
The next destination of Vietnam Thailand travel packages  is View Point where you have a chance to observe the stunning bays of Kata Noi, Kata, Karon and Koh Poo Island, known as among the islands with the best scenic spot. After the typical show, you are transferred to your hotel for overnight.

Day 13: Full Day Join Phi Phi Island Tour (B, L)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, and then we join a cruise trip around the Phi Phi Island to discover the stunning beauty of the island. We later made a visit to Long Beach, Phi Phi Don Island where you have a chance to go paddling around Long Beach by kayak as well as relax in crystal clear water and admire marine life.
We come back to Long Beach for a buffet lunch on Phi Phi Don Island. After the meal, the rest of the day is at your leisure with such interesting recreation activities as snorkeling, swimming or relaxing on the beach until our driver comes to pick you up and transfer to your hotel in Phuket.

Day 14: Phuket - free time (B)
