ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi - arrival (D)
Upon arrival at the airport, our driver will transfer you to your selected hotel for check-in. Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip starts. In the early evening, you have a chance to watch a water puppet performance, a distinct traditional art of Vietnam in which split-bamboo screen puppets controlled by the hidden people perform in the water. Then you enjoy your dinner at a local restaurant. Stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – City tour (B/L)
Enjoy your breakfast then we start the second day of  Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip in Hanoi with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside), a large memorial in Hanoi, which is the resting place of Vietminh leader Ho Chi Minh, founder. The next destination of your visit today is the One Pillar Pagoda, the emperor Lý Thái Tông, first built in 1049 by erecting a pillar in the middle of a lotus pond after he had a dream vision of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. You keep exploring Ancient Hanoi with an exploration of the Temple of Literature, the first national university in Vietnam first founded by the time of King Lý Nhân Tông. Lunch is served in a local restaurant.
A short break at noon then you continue  Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip trip to visit the Museum of Ethnology where you have a chance to witness the documents of 54 officially recognized ethnic groups. We continue the tour with The Old Quarter. You will take 1.5 hours to wander around the narrow corner of Ancient Hanoi. It includes 36 old streets, each of which represents the type of merchandise sold in.
After enjoying the ancient atmosphere of streets as Hang Buom, Ta Hien, Dinh Le, Hang Be (famed for its typical food named Mam Tep Chung Thit) and witnessing the daily life of local here, we go on visiting Hoan Kiem Lake, meaning Lake of the Returned Sword. From here you can enjoy a very nice walk along the lake or back to the hotel. You should your camera and take a beautiful picture on The Huc red bridge to Ngoc Son Temple. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D) (160 km – 3h30)
The most beautifull landscape of Vietnam await for you today.
At 08:00, we begin to Halong Bay - the UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Quang Ninh Province. Once there at around 12h30, you will board on a traditional junk for a memorable cruise through the mystical Halong Bay. While peacefully sailing across the Bay, you might enjoy fresh seafood lunch.
The first stop of  Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip on the third say is the most magical and beautiful cave – Sung Sot Cave means Surprised Cave or Amazing Cave, which is one of the most spectacular grottoes of Ha Long Bay. We will then stop on Titop island, where you can go for a swim, do kayaking and climb to the top of the island to admire a stunning panoramic view of the bay.
After enjoying a fresh seafood dinner on the bay, you can relax and spend the evening watching films or go for squid fishing. Stay overnight on the boat.

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Da Nang by plane (B/L)
Wake up in the next morning at sunrise, then we join a Tai Chi demonstration on the sundeck if booked in advance. Enjoying an energizing breakfast then we begin a busy and interesting day with a visit to Luon Cave by small boat. The boat later passes Man Head Island and Tortoise Island. While the boat heads back the pier, it is time for you to check out the cabin and pay all your bills before leaving for the next destination. On the way back, you have a chance to join a demonstration of cutting flowers from fruits and roots. On arriving at the pier, you will check you, leave the junk and transfer to Cua Vang for lunch or you can have the meal on the boat (optional).
Then our driver will transfer you to the airport in Hanoi for the flight to Danang. On arrival in Danang, you are welcomed by our guide and lead you to your selected hotel in Hoi An for check-in. Day 5: Discovery of Hoi An ancient town (B/L)
Breakfast, then we take a walk around Hoi An ancient town and explore its treasures with such typical structures as Quan Cong Temple, the brave and loyal Chinese General; Phuc Kien Pagoda, the most well-known assembly hall in the ancient town; the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An’s signature landmark used widely as an emblem of the town; Tan Ky ancient house, the most popular of Hoi An’s old houses and Hoi An port, the World Heritage listed by Unesco as well.
Having lunch in a local restaurant, then you can spend the rest of the afternoon of  Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip in Hoi An relaxing and enjoying the ancient atmosphere here. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 6: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hue (B / L)
Leaving the ancient Hoi An,  Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip itinerary offer the journey to Hue through Hai Van pass and the poetic fishing village of Lang Co. With its many palaces and pagodas, tombs and temples, rich culture and history, Hue retains the glories of imperial Vietnam, even though many of its finest buildings were destroyed during the American War.
On arrival in Hue, after checking in at your hotel, you enjoy your lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you continue your trip to the Imperial Citadel, City of the Nguyen Dynasty (1804-1945), as well as some of the most highly revered sites in this World Heritage area such as The Flag Tower, the South Door, the Edict Pavilion, the Supreme Harmony Palace, and the Forbidden Purple City.
Dinner is served on your own and overnight in Hue.

Day 7: Hue - Discovery with a cruise on the Huong River (B/L)
A must-do thing any visitor coming to Hue cannot miss is a cruise on the gentle Huong river, also known as Perfume River. At 8:00 am, we get on a boat to visit several places along the river such as the Thien Mu pagoda, built in 1601 on the order of the first Nguyen lords.
We continue a trip with a quiet Thuy Bieu village – 6.5 km from the city center – a laidback village famous for growing the Thanh Tra fruit (a kind of small pomelo). From here, you take a visit to many garden houses, a unique feature of Hue countryside, and enjoy a nice walking and biking around the peaceful village.
The next destination of  Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip is an old communal house, the boat will pass through several ancient ancestral temples and communicate with local people. Then the guide will lead you to an incense making family and discover the daily life of local people while they are working strenuously with joy and enthusiasm. You may also join their activities such as gardening, talking and drinking tea with them.
Then we stop at Thuy Bieu restaurant. It is the time to relax by steeping your foot in medicinal herb water – a traditional therapeutic practice and enjoy an excellent massage by blind people here.

Day 8: Hue-Ho Chi Minh city - by plane (B/L)
Breakfast then we head to Hue Airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh city (known as Saigon). Saigon was once was the old capital of the French colony and later of the independent republic of South Vietnam from 1955–75. In 1976, Saigon was officially renamed Ho Chi Minh City, the name of Vietnamese communist revolutionary leader who spent his whole life dedicated to the independence of Vietnam.
On arrival,  Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip gives a morning tour to discover a busy Saigon. The first destination is the Old Colonial Residential Quarter and the City’s old Hotel, a palace built by the French architect Paul Gardès of 1902-19081 in the center of Saigon in Indochina at the time. Our next destination is the Opera House, inspired by the architecture of the Opera Garnier in Paris, built in 1900 and Notre-Dame Cathedral, the famous central Saigon Cathedral. The last one is the Post Office, signed by Gustave Eiffel.
After having lunch in a restaurant and taking a rest, we spend the day discovering a lacquerware factory. Dinner is served on your own and overnight in Saigon.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Lodge (B/L/D)
At 8:30 am, our driver will come to pick you up at your hotel in Saigon City and transfer to Cai Be (110km- 2h30’ by car). Upon arrival, our guide will greet and lead you to Mekong lodge by junk as well as instruct you to check in your private bungalows for continuing the trip. After having delicious lunch in the restaurant and a short break, at 15:00, we begin to go for a walk or ride your bicycle around the Lodge to explore the daily life of the locals and enjoy the fresh air in the peaceful villages. During  Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip, you can board a sampan boat to have a visit to local orchards and try some fresh and delicious fruits. At 18:00, you take a great chance to attend a Vietnamese cooking class to learn how to make some traditional food and enjoy your own dishes.
Please remember that the bar opens from 7:00 am to 12:00 am, which lies near the swimming pool. Stay overnight at the Mekong Lodge (authentic | swimming pool | nice garden).

Day 10: Mekong Lodge - Cai Be Floating Market - Ben Tre - Ho Chi Minh city (B)
Breakfast in the restaurant then we start the tenth day of  Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip with a cruise on our rowing boats to explore Cai Be floating and ground market. You later visit local homes making rice cake, coconut candy, caramel souffle cake and other traditional specialties to witness the production of them. You can even try some local honey tea, which is a typical tea of the northern people. Come back to the Lodge.
After checking out at 11:30 am and enjoying your lunch, we return to your selected hotel in Saigon City. On arrival, you check in your hotel. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Saigon.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap / by plane 1h30' (B)
Breakfast then our driver will welcome at your hotel in Saigon then transfer you to Tan Son Nhat Airport for the flight to Siem Reap. From the center of Siem Reap, you can make a visit to Angkor city, once the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire (802 AD - 1350 AD)
After checking in the hotel, you keep  Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip by exploring the temples of the Roluos which are built from the early Angkor period (802-1431), starting with a visit to Preah Ko, the first temple built in the ancient time. Then we go on visiting Preah Ko (Sacred Bull), which was named after the 3 sandstone statues facing the temple's central towers, representing Nandi, the white bull that served as the mount of Shiva. The next place is the temple mountain of Bakong, which is known as the official state one of King Indravarman I in Hariharalaya. We end of the day with a visit to Lolei, famed for its beautiful carved lintels and false doors.
We return to your hotel in Siem Reap for the night. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 12: Siem Reap - Angkor Thom - Angkor Wat (B/L)
Breakfast then we kick off a day of  Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip with an interesting trip to Angkor Thom, beginning at the South Gate entrance. You later have a chance to explore the main temple of Bayon (4-Faced Temple) to admire the last great temple built at the Angkor complex. We keep exploring Great City with visits to such famous spots as Bayon Temple, Phimeanakas Temple within the Royal Palace enclosure, Baphuon Temple, The Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.
After the lunch, we go on discovering the most magnificent and largest of all Angkor temples, symbolizing for the spirit of the Angkorian. Especially, you have a chance to watch the sunset on the temples and admire the fantastic views of Angkor Wat. Returning to Siem Reap for a buffet night meal, you can spend your night seeing a traditional Apsara dance and evoking classical myths.

Day 13: Siem Reap - Beng Melea Temple - Tonle Sap lake - Siem Reap (B/L/D)
At 8:00 am, our driver will welcome you at your selected hotel then transfer to mysterious Beng Melea Temple dating back 11 century via the Cambodian undiscovered areas (60 km). It is an Angkor-style temple where the vines and roots of ancient trees grow through the broken galleries. This hidden temple complex is basically made from sandstone and contains carvings of Buddhist motifs, creating the legendary beauty of the temple.
Then we come to Tonle Sap Lake for the cruise trip. Lunch is served en route. While sailing along Tonle Sap Lake, we make a stop at the Chong Phneas's floating village have a chance to talk with the locals here to get more knowledge about to their routine life as well as witness how they make a living on Tonle Sap Lake. The next stop is a fish farm and a crocodile farm.
Returning to the town of Siem Reap, you will enjoy a traditional Apsara dance performance, and be amazed by the dancers in traditional customs presenting Cambodian folk stories. Then the buffet dinner is served.
Stay overnight in Siem Reap. 

Day 14: Siem Reap - Sihanoukville (B)
Breakfast at your hotel then our driver will pick you up and move to Siem Reap Airpor for a short flight to for Sihanoukville beach city. On arrival in your selected hotel in Sihanoukville, after check-in, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing on this beautiful beach.

Day 15: Sihanoukville (B)

Day 17: Sihanoukville - Phnom Penh (B)
Breakfast at the restaurant then Vietnam Cambodia 18 days trip leads our guests to Phnom Penh. On arrival, you are guided to your selected hotel in Phnom Penh for check-in. We start exploring Phnom Penh with a visit to the Killing Fields Memorial Museum of Cambodia (Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum) where you can learn more knowledge about the history of Cambodia during the Pol Pot era. In 1976, the Khmer Rouge renamed the high school S-21 and turned it into a torture, interrogation and execution center. Of the 14,000 people known to have entered, only seven survived. These were the sights that greeted the two Vietnamese photojournalists who first discovered S-21 in January of 1979.
We return to the hotel for your self-service dinner. Stay overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 18: Phnom Penh - Departure (B)
Breakfast then the rest of the last day is at your leisure to discover the town or shop for souvenirs. Then our driver will come to pick you up then transfer to the airport of Phnom Penh for the departure flight.
