ITINERARY

Day 1: Upon Arrival in Bangkok (no meals)
On arrival at the airport in Bangkok, you will be welcomed by our driver then transferred to your selected hotel in Bangkok for check-in. Then the rest of the first day of Vietnam and Thailand tour is at your leisure to discover the busy Bangkok city. Meals are on your own and overnight in your hotel in Bangkok.

Day 2: City Temple Tour – Royal Grand Palace & Emerald Buddha (B/L)
Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast then we kick off the new day with visits to two of the most unique Buddhist temples in Bangkok namely The Buddha in Wat Traimit and the famous Reclining Buddha at Wat Po. We later have a visit to The Royal Grand Palace. Known as the most beautiful examples of the ancient Thai court, The Royal Grand Palace is a must-see place while in Bangkok. The last destination of your morning tour of Vietnam and Thailand tour is the Temple of the sacred Emerald Buddha.
After enjoying your meal in the restaurant, we keep exploring the city with a cruise trip to the Chao Phraya River’s edge by a traditional style Long Tail Boat; where you have a chance to discover the old canals of the Thonburi side of Bangkok as well as observe the old lifestyle of the locals here. On the way, you can stop to buy the snack, purchase knick-knacks, or even use a toilet. The next destination of your visit today is the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun), famed for its silhouette. The local story goes that the shards of pottery decorating its 79 m tall spire came from a nearby shipwreck 100 years ago. We then come back to the hotel for the night. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Bangkok.

Day 3: Half Day Tour Damnoen Saduak Floating Market - Chiang Mai (B)
At early morning, breakfast then Vietnam and Thailand tour offers the chance to explore one of the most interesting floating market of Thailand called Damnoen Saduak Floating Market where you have a chance to witness the daily life of the locals by small boats along the canals. In addition, not only exploring the coconut farm and trying some coconut juice, but you also can see such fresh seasonal fruits as rambutan, mangoes, papaya and etc. We later return to the hotel and the remainder of the day is at your leisure to go shopping or strolling around the city. Meals are on your own and overnight in Bangkok.

Day 4: Bangkok - Hanoi by plane (D)
Our driver will come to pick you up at your hotel Bangkok for your international flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival at the airport in Hanoi, our driver will transfer you to your selected hotel for check-in. In the early evening, you have a chance to watch a water puppet performance, a distinct traditional art of Vietnam in which split-bamboo screen puppets controlled by the hidden people perform in the water. Then you enjoy your dinner at a local restaurant. Stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi – City tour (B/L)
Wake up in the morning, enjoy your breakfast then we start fifth day of Vietnam and Thailand tour in Hanoi with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside), a large memorial in Hanoi, which is the resting place of Viet Minh leader Ho Chi Minh, founder. The next destination of your visit today is the One Pillar Pagoda, the emperor Lý Thái Tông, first built in 1049 by erecting a pillar in the middle of a lotus pond after he had a dream vision of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. You keep exploring Ancient Hanoi with an exploration of the Temple of Literature, the first national university in Vietnam first founded by the time of King Lý Nhân Tông. Lunch is served in a local restaurant.
A short break at noon then you continue to visit the Museum of Ethnology where you have a chance to witness the documents of 54 officially recognized ethnic groups. We continue the tour with The Old Quarter. You will take 1.5 hours to wander around the narrow corner of Ancient Hanoi. It includes 36 old streets, each of which represents the type of merchandise sold in.
After enjoying the ancient atmosphere of streets as Hang Buom, Ta Hien, Dinh Le, Hang Be (famed for its typical food named Mam Tep Chung Thit) and witnessing the daily life of local here, we go on visiting Hoan Kiem Lake, meaning Lake of the Returned Sword. From here you can enjoy a very nice walk along the lake or back to the hotel. You should your camera and take a beautiful picture on The Huc red bridge to Ngoc Son Temple. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 6: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D) (160 km – 3h30)
Breakfast and then heading to Halong Bay - the World Heritage Site listed by Unesco located in Quang Ninh Province. Once there at around 12h30, you will board on a traditional junk for a memorable cruise through the mystical Halong Bay. While peacefully sailing across the Bay, you might enjoy fresh seafood lunch.
The first stop is the most magical and beautiful cave – Sung Sot Cave means Surprised Cave or Amazing Cave, which is one of the most spectacular grottoes of Ha Long Bay. We will then stop on Titop island, where you can go for a swim, do kayaking and climb to the top of the island to admire a stunning panoramic view of the bay.
After enjoying a fresh seafood dinner on the bay, you can relax and spend the evening watching films or go for squid fishing. Enjoy your time of Vietnam and Thailand tour on the boat.

Day 7: Hanoi - Halong - Lao Cai (B/L) (160km – 3h30)
Wake up in the next morning at sunrise, then we join a Tai Chi demonstration on the sundeck if booked in advance. Enjoying an energizing breakfast then we begin a busy and interesting day with a visit to Luon Cave by small boat. The boat later passes Man Head Island and Tortoise Island. While the boat heads back the pier, it is time for you to check out the cabin and pay all your bills before leaving for the next destination. On the way back, you have a chance to join a demonstration of cutting flowers from fruits and roots. on arriving at the pier, you will check you, leave the junk and transfer to Cua Vang for lunch or you can have the meal on the boat (optional). Then our driver will transfer you to Hanoi.
In the late afternoon, our driver will come to pick you up and head to the railway station to catch the night train to Lao Cai (7.5 hours). Dinner is on your own and overnight on the train (A/C soft sleeper - 4 persons/ cabin). Or you can reach Sapa by Express Bus on highway (optional) (5 hours).
We arrive in Lao Cai in the next early morning.

Day 8: Lao Cai - Sapa - Ma Tra village - Ta Phin village (B/L/D)  (trekking 4hours – 12km)
Arrive at Lao Cai railway station at about 6h00AM then transfer to Sapa, which is home for more than 30 minority tribes (Black H’mong, Flower H’mong, Red Dzao) and of Vietnam’s highest peak - Fansipan Mount.
Have breakfast in the hotel or restaurant (optional) before the trip of Sapa exploration of Vietnam and Thailand tour starts.
Today, we walk through Ma Tra village and Ta Phin village. We have lunch at a local restaurant. This itinerary offers you a unique opportunity to contemplate terraced rice fields, beautiful mountains and discover daily life of ethnic groups like Black HMong and Red Dao minority. Stay overnight at a homestay.

Day 9: Ta Phin village - Ban Khoang - Sapa - Hanoi by Express Bus (B/L)
After breakfast at your homestay, Vietnam and Thailand tour continues with trekking to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of Can Ho valley. We will lead you to Ban Khoang village through small isolated hamlets off the beaten track, which gives you the chance to meet with the villagers. In the early afternoon, you will be picked up to return to Sapa by car. You have your free time to enjoy the town before leaving Sapa at 16h00 to reach to Hanoi by Express Bus (or by private car up your request) with a road distance of 400km by highway.
On arrival in Hanoi at around 21h30 (the departure and return time is changeable if you take a private car). Stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 10: Hanoi - departure (B)
Breakfast at your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to stroll around the city until our driver comes to pick you up for the departure flight going home.
End of the Vietnam and Thailand tour.
