Day 2: Hanoi – City tour (B, L)

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D) (160km – 3h30)
Driver to Halong bay today for an amazing experience in Halong Bay - the World Heritage Site listed by Unesco located in Quang Ninh Province. Once there at around 12h30, you will board on a traditional junk for a memorable cruise through the mystical Halong Bay. While peacefully sailing across the Bay, you might enjoy fresh seafood lunch.
The first stop of Vietnam Cambodia Laos itinerary on the third day is the most magical and beautiful cave – Sung Sot Cave means Surprised Cave or Amazing Cave, which is one of the most spectacular grottoes of Ha Long Bay. Enjoying an energizing breakfast then we begin a busy and interesting day with a visit to Luon Cave by small boat. The boat later passes Man Head Island and Tortoise Island. While the boat heads back the pier, it is time for you to check out the cabin and pay all your bills before leaving for the next destination. On the way back, you have a chance to join a demonstration of cutting flowers from fruits and roots. On arriving at the pier, you will check out, leave the junk and transfer to Cua Vang for lunch or you can have the meal on the boat (optional).
Then our driver will transfer back to train station in Hanoi for the night train (4 berth sleeper cabin, basic standard) on the ‘Reunification Express’ railway line to Hue. Dinner is on your own and overnight in the train.
Day 5: Hue - Discovery (B, L)
A must-do thing any visitor coming to Hue cannot miss is a cruise on the gentle Huong River, also known as Perfume River. On arrival in Hue at 10:00 am, after breakfast, we get on a boat to visit several places along the river such as the Thien Mu pagoda, built in 1601 on the order of the first Nguyen lords. We continue a trip with a quiet Thuy Bieu village – 6.5 km from the city center – a laidback village famous for growing the Thanh Tra fruit (a kind of small pomelo). From here, you take a visit to many garden houses, a unique feature of Hue countryside, and enjoy a nice walking and biking around the peaceful village.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel then we start a new day in Hue with a visit to the Imperial Citadel, the capital of the Nguyen Dynasty (1804-1945). You later make a stop at such famous spots as The Flag Tower, South Door, Edict Pavilion, Supreme Harmony Palace, and the Forbidden Purple City.
Then we drive to Danang via Hai Van pass and the poetic fishing village of Lang Co. Our driver will transfer you to Hoi An, a crucial trading port during the 17th and 18th centuries. Leaving Hoi An after breakfast, we move to the airport of Danang for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, known as Saigon City. Saigon was once was the old capital of the French colony and later of the independent republic of South Vietnam from 1955–75. In 1976, Saigon was officially renamed Ho Chi Minh City, the name of Vietnamese communist revolutionary leader who spent his whole life dedicated to the independence of Vietnam.
On arrival, you continue Vietnam Cambodia Laos itinerary with a morning tour to discover a busy Saigon. The first destination is the Old Colonial Residential Quarter and the City’s old Hotel, a palace built by the French architect Paul Gardès of 1902-19081 in the center of Saigon in Indochina at the time. At 8:30 am, our driver will come to pick you up at your hotel in Saigon City and transfer to Cai Be (110km- 2h30’ by car). Upon arrival, our guide will greet and lead you to Mekong lodge by junk as well as instruct you to check in your private bungalows for continuing the trip. After having delicious lunch in the restaurant and a short break, at 15:00, we begin to go for a walk or ride your bicycle around the Lodge to explore the daily life of the locals and enjoy the fresh air in the peaceful villages. Then we board a sampan boat to have a visit to local orchards and try some fresh and delicious fruits. At 18:00, you take a great chance to attend a Vietnamese cooking class to learn how to make some traditional food and enjoy your own dishes.

Day 9: Mekong Lodge - Cai Be Floating Market - Ho Chi Minh city (B, L)

After breakfast, our driver will meet you at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City then transfer to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. Known as the former heart of the ancient kingdom of Laos, Luang Prabang nowadays is listed as World Heritage site with lots of ornate temples, French colonial architecture. On arrival, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can spend your free time to stroll around this tranquil city.

Day 11: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave (B, L)
We will discover the oldest temple of impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai, Wat Sene and the Wat Xiengthong with its unique roofs, presenting the typical structure of Luang Prabang temple.
