ITINERARY

Day 1: Siem Reap - Arrival (no meal)
At the airport of Siem Reap, our driver will welcome you and transfer to your selected hotel in Siem Reap where you have a chance to explore the world famous temples of the ancient city Angkor, which was the former capital of the Khmer Empire (802 AD - 1350 AD). You check the hotel then the rest of the day is at your leisure to stroll around this interesting city. Spend the first night of holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam in Siem Reap. 

Day 2: Siem Reap - Angkor Thom - Angkor Wat (B/L)
Breakfast then we kick off the second day of holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam with an interesting trip to Angkor Thom, beginning at the South Gate entrance. You later have a chance to explore the main temple of Bayon (4-Faced Temple) to admire the last great temple built at the Angkor complex. We keep exploring Great City with visits to such famous spots as Bayon Temple, Phimeanakas Temple within the Royal Palace enclosure, Baphuon Temple, The Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.
After the lunch, we go on holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam by discovering the most magnificent and largest of all Angkor temples, symbolizing for the spirit of the Angkorian. Especially, you have a chance to watch the sunset on the temples and admire the fantastic views of Angkor Wat. Returning to Siem Reap for a buffet night meal, you can spend your night seeing a traditional Apsara dance and evoking classical myths.

Day 3: Siem Reap - Banteay Srei - Roluos Group - Bakong (B/L)
Wake up early in the morning then we spend the day of your holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam tour exploring temples of the Banteay Srey, famed for its finest carvings of all the Angkor temples. On the way back to Siem Reap, if time permits, we encounter a local village to observe the process of sugar making.
We come to a local restaurant in Siem Reap for lunch. After the lunch, you keep exploring the temples of the Roluos which are built from the early Angkor period (802-1431), starting with a visit to Preah Ko, the first temple built in the ancient time. Then we go on visiting Preah Ko (Sacred Bull), which was named after the 3 sandstone statues facing the temple's central towers, representing Nandi, the white bull that served as the mount of Shiva. The next place of holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam is the temple mountain of Bakong, which is known as the official state one of King Indravarman I in Hariharalaya. We end of the tour today with a visit to Lolei, famed for its beautiful carved lintels and false doors.
We return to your hotel in Siem Reap for the night. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 4: Siem Reap - Phnom Penh / by express boat (B/L)
Today holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam offer you to Siem Reap Pier for the boat trip to Phnom Penh along the Tonle Sap River. It takes 4 to 7 hours to get to Phnom Penh depending on each season. On arrival in Phnom Penh, after check-in the hotel, you start exploring Phnom Penh with a visit to the Killing Fields Memorial Museum of Cambodia (Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum) where you can learn more knowledge about the history of Cambodia during the Pol Pot era. In 1976, the Khmer Rouge renamed the high school S-21 and turned it into a torture, interrogation and execution center. Of the 14,000 people known to have entered, only seven survived. These were the sights that greeted the two Vietnamese photojournalists who first discovered S-21 in January of 1979.
We return to the hotel for your self-service dinner. Stay overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 5: Phnom Penh - Chau Doc by express boat in 6h (B/L)
Say goodbye Cambodia, we transfer to the boat ferry for a trip along the Mekong River to get Chau Doc - Vietnam. After presenting your visas for the entrance, you will be greeted by our guide on the side of Vietnam then transferred to your selected hotel in Chau Doc. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Chau Doc.

Day 6: Chau Doc - Sa Dec - Cai Be - Mekong Lodge (B/L/D)
Wake up in the hotel, enjoy your breakfast then we head to Sa Dec. The first destination of your visit today is the Huynh Thuy Le Ancient House, dating from the 18 century, where Huynh Thuy Le, the 27-year-old son of the most reputable family in Dong Thap once used. This ancient house witnessed the romantic love between Huynh Thuy Le and a French writer Marguerite Duras. After lunch at Huynh Thuy Le house, we go on holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam trip with a visit to Kien An Cung pagoda, Trung Vuong school. Then you transfer to Cai Be Wharf to join a boat cruise to the Mekong Lodge. After checking in your private cabin, we take a rest in Mekong Lodge. At 18:30, you take a great chance to attend a Vietnamese cooking class to learn how to make some traditional food and enjoy your own dishes.
Please remember that the bar opens from 7: 00 am to 12:00 am, which lies near the swimming pool. Stay overnight at the Mekong Lodge (authentic | swimming pool | nice garden).

Day 7: Mekong Lodge - Cai Be Floating Market - Ho Chi Minh city (B/L)
Breakfast in a local restaurant then we kick off the seventh day of holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam with a sampan boat tour to explore Cai Be floating and ground market. You later visit local homes making rice cake, coconut candy, caramel souffle cake and other traditional specialties to witness the production of them. You can even try some local honey tea, which is a typical tea of the northern people. You return to the Lodge for check-out at 11:00 am. Before heading back to Cai Be harbor, you enjoy your lunch at the restaurant. Then our driver will pick you up at the pier then transfer to Saigon City. On arrival, you check into your selected hotel.
Dinner is on your own and overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi tunnel - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L) (45km – 1h00)
Wake up early in the morning then we start a busy but interesting day with Ho Chi Minh city tour (known as Saigon tour). Saigon was once was the old capital of the French colony and later of the independent republic of South Vietnam from 1955–75. In 1976, Saigon was officially renamed Ho Chi Minh City, the name of Vietnamese communist revolutionary leader who spent his whole life dedicated to the independence of Vietnam.
The first destination of holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam on the eighth day is the former Presidential Palace (outside), so-called Reunification Palace which symbolizes the country's political history. Our next destinations are Notre-Dame Cathedral (1877), the famous central Saigon Cathedral and the Post Office, signed by Gustave Eiffel. We keep exploring Ho Chi Minh City with a visit to a lacquer ware factory. The last place of the morning tour is Thien Hau Pagoda, which is built on the basis of a Chinese style temple. Situated on Nguyen Trai Street, ChoLon (Chinatown), Thiên Hau is worshipped in the seafaring Chinese communities of Fujian, Guangzhou, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia.
Then we come back to the restaurant for the lunch before going on your exploration trip. After the meal, we make a visit to the Cu Chi tunnels, which was once the underground base of Vietnamese soldiers during the war. The typical feature of these tunnels is that it had hospitals, plus accommodation and schools for our soldiers. It is the ideal place for those who want to learn more about a part of Vietnam history.
Then we come back to Saigon City for the night. Dinner is on your own and overnight in your hotel in Saigon. Enjoy your time of holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam in Saigon. 

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City - Danang - Hoi An (B/L) (1050km – 1h15: by plane)
Breakfast then we take a short flight to Danang city, which is situated in the middle of Hue(100km) and Hoi An(30km). On arrival in Danang, you will be greeted by our driver and transfer to Hoi An, a formerly important trading port during the 17th and 18th century. We head to your selected hotel in Hoi An for check-in and lunch.
The holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam around Hoi An ancient town help you explore its treasures with such typical structures as Quan Cong Temple, the brave and loyal Chinese General; Phuc Kien Pagoda, the most well-known assembly hall in the ancient town; the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An’s signature landmark used widely as an emblem of the town; Tan Ky ancient house, the most popular of Hoi An’s old houses and Hoi An port, the World Heritage listed by Unesco as well.
We come back to your hotel in Hoi An. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Hoi An.

Day 10: Hoi An - Cycling from Tra Que village to Van Lang village (B/L)
The holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam trip will continue with a bicycle tour around Hoi An and its surrounding villages. During the walk, we across vast rice fields in the countryside and quiet road, far away from the tourist trails as well as see the activities of the inhabitants through the villages of Hoian.
In Tra Que village, the guide leads you to meet passionate farmers and villagers. They will teach you all about their cultivation methods and their vision of a sustainable and eco-friendly agriculture.
The next stop of holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam today is Van Lang fisherman village and Bay Mau coconut water forest - about 7 hectares, surrounded by mangrove forests, canals, and houses covered by coconut water leaves.
Mr. Han will welcome with some green tea and show us around the village. Especially, we might have a chance to experience rowing on a basket boat and learn traditional fishing techniques in the coconut water forest.
The meal will feature many local delicacies, such as Tam Huu spring rolls, Banh Xeo local pancakes, grilled fish in banana leaf and others. After lunch, take a short rest before returning to the old quarter.

Day 11: Hoi An - Danang - Hue (B/L)
Breakfast then you are at leisure in the morning, then heading to Hue, (pronounced ‘hway’), a Unesco World Heritage site. With its many palaces and pagodas, tombs and temples, rich culture and history, Hue still retains the glories of imperial Vietnam, even though many of its finest buildings were destroyed during the American War.
On the way, you stop at the Cham Museum, the richest in South Vietnam and the Hai Van pass, admiring the picturesque fishing village of Lang Co.
Upon arrival in Hue, after checking in at your hotel, the lunch in a local restaurant is served. In the afternoon, we continue your trip to the Imperial Citadel, City of the Nguyen Dynasty (1804-1945), as well as some of the most highly revered sites in this World Heritage area such as The Flag Tower, the South Door, the Edict Pavilion, the Supreme Harmony Palace, and the Forbidden Purple City.
Dinner is served on your own and overnight in Hue.

Day 12: Hue - Discovery with a cruise on the Huong River (B/L)
A must-do thing any visitor coming to Hue cannot miss is a cruise on the gentle Huong River, also known as Perfume River. At 8:00 am, we get on a boat to visit several places along the river such as the Thien Mu pagoda, built in 1601 on the order of the first Nguyen lords.
We continue a trip with a quiet Thuy Bieu village – 6.5 km from the city center – a laidback village famous for growing the Thanh Tra fruit (a kind of small pomelo). From here, you take a visit to many garden houses, a unique feature of Hue countryside, and enjoy a nice walking and biking around the peaceful village.
The next destination of holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam on the twelveth day is an old communal house, the boat will pass through several ancient ancestral temples and communicate with local people. Then the guide will lead you to an incense making family and discover the daily life of local people while they are working strenuously with joy and enthusiasm. You may also join their activities such as gardening, talking and drinking tea with them.
Then we stop at Thuy Bieu restaurant. It is the time to relax by steeping your foot in medicinal herb water – a traditional therapeutic practice and enjoy an excellent massage by blind people here.
After having lunch at Thuy Bieu restaurant, we start the trip in the afternoon with a discovery of Emperor Minh Mang’s tomb, ponds and gardens are known for its perfect harmony between architecture and its natural environment.
Dinner on your own and overnight in Hue.

Day 13: Hue - Hanoi (B/L)
Enjoy your breakfast then our driver will come to pick you up then transfer to the airport for the short flight to Hanoi, the official capital of Vietnam. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed at the airport of Hanoi and transferred to your selected hotel for check-in and lunch.
After having lunch in a restaurant, we will take a rest and continue holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam to the Museum of Ethnology, where the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam are presented.
We continue the tour with "The Old Quarter". You will take 1.5 hours to wander around the narrow corner of Ancient Hanoi. It includes 36 old streets, each of which represents the type of merchandise sold in. Beginning from the head of Cao Thang Street, we across Dong Xuan Market, the biggest market in Hanoi, originally built by the French administration. Then going through the market and turning right to Hang Ma street. The road is shimmered by decorating stuff, Chinese toys, the colorful lanterns, paper goods and in particular paper votive offerings.
After enjoying the ancient atmosphere of such streets as Hang Buom, Ta Hien, Dinh Le, Hang Be and witnessing the daily life of local here, our next stop is Hoan Kiem Lake, meaning "Lake of the Returned Sword". From here you can enjoy a very nice walk along the lake or back to the hotel.
Don't forget to bring your camera and take a beautiful picture on The Huc red bridge to Ngoc Son Temple. In particular, in the evening, a water puppet show - a distinct Vietnamese art will be performed at the Water Puppet Theatre.

Day 14: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D) (160km – 3h30)
Breakfast and then we go to Halong Bay - the UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Quang Ninh Province. Once there at around 12h30, you will board on a traditional junk for a memorable cruise through the mystical Halong Bay. While peacefully sailing across the Bay, you might enjoy fresh seafood lunch.
The first stop is the most magical and beautiful cave – Sung Sot Cave means Surprised Cave or Amazing Cave, which is one of the most spectacular grottoes of Ha Long Bay. We will then stop on Titop island, where you can go for a swim, do kayaking and climb to the top of the island to admire a stunning panoramic view of the bay.
After enjoying a fresh seafood dinner on the bay, you can relax and spend the evening watching films or go for squid fishing. Spend the last night of the holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam on board.

Day 15: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Departure (B/L) (160km – 3h30)
Wake up in the next morning at sunrise, then we join a Tai Chi demonstration on the sundeck if booked in advance. Enjoying an energizing breakfast then we begin a busy and interesting day with a visit to Luon Cave by small boat. The boat later passes Man Head Island and Tortoise Island. While the boat heads back the pier, it is time for you to check out the cabin and pay all your bills before leaving for the next destination. On the way back, you have a chance to join a demonstration of cutting flowers from fruits and roots. On arriving at the pier, you will check you, leave the junk and transfer to Cua Vang for lunch or you can have the meal on the boat (optional).
Then our driver will transfer you to the airport in Hanoi for the departure flight. Dinner is on your own.
